MV Sili removes yacht from reef at Rose Atoll

Yesterday the MV Sili successfully removed the yacht that ran aground the reef at Rose Atoll two weeks ago, the Paul Eric.
Captain Wally Thomsen reports that the salvage operation was a success and there was no sign of any oil spill or damage to the reef. The MV Sili took an official from the US Fish and Wildlife Service from Honolulu, and a team from a local dive company Moon Divers.
The Sili arrived back in Tau this morning and is now loading up passengers and cargo before docking at Ofu and then set sail for Tutuila.
The yacht that was savlaged was enroute from Tahiti to American Samoa when it ran aground the reef. The owner was the only person on board, The yacht is sailing on its own to Tutuila.
