Mulugaveve project continues for east side

Friday, June 26, 2009

The Department of Youth and Women's Affairs will continue the Mulumulugaveve project this Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Laulii CCCAS hall from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This is for the villages  of Aua, Laulii, Alega, Avaio, Auto, and Amaua.

Mulugaveve is an integrated Community Based Initiative (CBI) whereby all service agencies for youth and women conduct presentations to villagers and the community members are able to provide input and feedback to assist the agency to improve and/or provide effective service for the community.

During Mulugaveve presentations in March and May nurses from LBJ and the American Samoa Nurses Association conducted free screening for  hypertension and high sugar levels and made referrals  for more tests and treatment.
