Blue Sky has lots planned for 10th birthday

Top officials of Elandia International Inc, owners of Blue Sky Communications are joining the 10th anniversary celebrations of the local phone company next week.
The group is led by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Pete Pizarro who has been at the helm of the company since May of last year. Chief Financial Officer Harley Rollins and Christian Alvarez, Vice President of Operations for Elandia will also attend.
Blue Sky has lined up a series of events next week to celebrate a decade of doing business in the territory. Beginning Monday, July 6, the company will host tours of the Submarine Fiber Optic Cable – Landing Station at Bluesky’s Network Operations Center in Tafuna.
Tuesday is the launching of the fiber optic cable at Lee Auditorium, an event hosted by ASG.
The main celebration is set for Friday July 10, and kicks off with a Beach Bash Party at Utulei Beach, from 8am to 1pm. The highlight is a fautasi race set for 10 am, which will have 8 long boats. Other attractions are a dance competition with the winner featured in the opening of the music concert later that evening at the veterans Memorial Stadium. The concert features Samoa well known artists and mainland groups Amely from Orlando, Florida and the Lost Coast crew.
The finale is a formal “black-tie” dinner at the Lee Auditorium by invitation only for Blue Sky’s corporate customers and government VIPS.
