The Board of Directors of the American Samoa Visitors Bureau has selected a Chief Executive Officer for the Bureau.
Acting Chairman of the Board, Roy Hall Jr. says the board is still negotiating contract terms and it would be premature to disclose the identity of the new CEO.
KHJ News understands that the selected applicant is a New Zealand based Samoan with extensive experience in the tourism industry. There were 15 applications for the position and only two were shortlisted and interviewed.
The new Visitors Bureau will have an operating budget of $200,000.
