Four men were arrested over the weekend for assaulting a young man in Tafuna.
Police received a call from Mc Donald's security that four men were beating up a man, in front of the restaurant. When police arrived the defendants had taken off in their vehicle. Police caught up with the suspects not far from the restaurant and took them in for questioning. The alleged victim suffered bruises and scratches on his facial area. Wesley Matau, Daniel Allen, Trani Phillip and Fanolua Albertson are charged with Public Peace Disturbance. They were released on their own recognizance, after their initial appearances yesterday in District Court. Their pre-trial conference has been scheduled for May 6th.
