More tax refunds out yesterday

The issuance of tax refund checks is continuing though the amounts are coming down as the tax-filing season winds down.
Just over half a million dollars in tax refunds were issued by Treasury yesterday. Local tax refund checks totaled $342,000 and Additional Child Tax Credits amounted to $223,000. The latest batch covered 430 tax-payers. To date ASG has disbursed $12.1 million in refunds. The Internal Revenue Service paid for $7.5 million and ASG covered $4.6 million.
