Domestic incident lands man in jail

The District Court has denied bail for a man accused of threatening to kill his wife Saturday evening.
Court affidavits said the defendant who was intoxicated became angry when his wife refused to sleep with him and beat her up. He is accused of threatening her with a machete. Police say the man also assaulted his 6-year-old son. The boy’s neck was all bruised. The man was arrested on public peace disturbance charges but will be facing more serious charges according to Assistant Attorney General Nicole Castro. Assistant Public Defender Melissa Simenson is representing the defendant.
