BYU offers relevant degree courses

In its efforts to boost enrollment numbers from American Samoa Brigham Young University, Hawaii has committed to ensuring that local students take majors, which are relevant and needed in the territory.
While here last week university president Dr. Steve Wheelright discussed with the President to the American Samoa Community College Dr. Seth Galeai renewing a letter of understanding whereby BYU would accept transfer students from ASCC. Dr. Wheelright said some of the courses, which BYU offers caught the interest of Governor Togiola Tulafono.

Dean of Admissions at BYU, Hawaii Mr. Arafata Meha says the number of students from American Samoa currently enrolled at the Laie University has been halved from what it was a few years ago.
