One of the five defendants who was arrested for allegedly stealing cases of Coors Light from a container on the dock late last year entered a plea with the government last week.

Petelo Filipo aka Siai was originally charged with receiving stolen property but pled guilty to conspiracy to commit felony stealing. Filipo agreed to testify for the government against the co-defendants in this case. Chief Justice Michael Kruse accepted the plea agreement and set sentencing after the trials of the other defendants in this case. The government alleges that between November 26 and December 3, Filipo, an employee of Peter Reid Stevedoring, received 13 cases of Coors Lights knowing they were stolen property. Assistant Attorney General Ruth Risch represents Filipo and prosecuting for the government is Assistant Attorney General Faamomoi Masaniai.
