Governor Togiola Tulafono has responded to a request from the leader of the Catholic Church Bishop John Quinn Weitzel to repair roads in the Ottoville and Fagaima areas and provide a solution to the severe flooding every time it rains.
The governor assured the bishop that the administration is looking at implementing solutions to solve this problem. He said the administration shares the bishop’s concerns about the deplorable situation of the roads. He said however that the roads were designed to cope with normal rainfall. And excessive rainfall is beyond “our control and cannot be helped.”
