July 23, 2008
Governor Togiola Tulafono will keynote the official launching of two books by Samoa’s Head of State His Highness Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi this afternoon.
The two books to be launched are the English and Samoan versions of the proceedings of a conference on culture and religion that was held at the Catholic Church center at Tofamamao, Leauvaa in December 2005. That was the Pacific Regional Interreligious Colloquium on Indigenous, Cultural and Religious concepts of Peace and Good Governance. His Highness the Head of State is attending the 10th Festival of Pacific Arts with Masiofo Filifilia Tamasese who helped compile and edit the books. A former English teacher at Samoa's leading government school Samoa College, Masiofo Filifilia has many former students residing in the territory. The launching will be held at 3pm today at the Tautua Community Hall in Pago Pago and more than 200 people have been invited.
